MediterraneanRentals™ was founded in 1999 by travelers who'd fallen deeply in love with the Mediterranean — its coastlines, its light, its way of slowing time down. They'd experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find trustworthy, accurately described rental properties without going through expensive travel agents or wading through unreliable classified listings.

The internet was changing travel, but it hadn't yet solved the fundamental problem: how do you know a property is actually as good as its photos suggest? How do you know the pricing is fair? How do you know the owner is honest?

MediterraneanRentals™ was built to answer those questions — with personal verification, honest descriptions, and transparent pricing as non-negotiable principles.
